ICV Croatian Adriatic Region Workshop: AI-AUGMENTED CONTROLLING
Commenting on IBCS® Management Reports with ChatGPT
Predavači: Dr. Mike Schulze i Dr. Mladen Meter
This practice-oriented ICV workshop equips controlling and finance professionals with the competence to use generative AI, exemplified through ChatGPT, to draft, refine, and quality-review managerial commentaries for management reports prepared in line with the International Business Communication Standards (IBCS). IBCS provides a set of standards that define key principles for designing management reports, with the aim of ensuring clarity, consistency, and decision usefulness.
The workshop is structured into three parts: first, participants receive a compact introduction to artificial intelligence with a focus on generative AI and large language models, typical strengths and limitations, and prompting fundamentals. Second, participants learn selected key rules from the IBCS standards that are particularly relevant for creating high-quality management reports and translate these rules into practical guidance. Third, participants complete a hands-on exercise in which they apply ChatGPT to comment on an IBCS-style management report. The exercise emphasizes a quality-assurance loop that cross-checks narratives against reported figures and ensures auditable, management-ready wording.
