Business Effectiveness Ltd., in cooperation with KWVD, is organizing a practical workshop led by Dr. Mladen Meter, Certified Facilitator of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.
The workshop will be held on April 22, 2026, at the Roomers Frankfurt, Autograph Collection hotel (Gutleutstraße 85, 60329 Frankfurt am Main).
Main objective of the workshop
According to the Business Excellence Model, the workshop aims to illustrate and experience - in a creative way using the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method - the importance of diverse perspectives, the definition and alignment of values, and the achievement of individual and shared process excellence in an organization.
Workshop content
The Business Excellence Model consists of four components, which will be explored during the workshop through the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method:

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a science-based technique for better thinking, communication and problem solving for real teams in real time with real challenges.
For each individual component of the Business Excellence Model, appropriate original LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® sets will be used:
1. Diversity - the potential of different perspectives
The benefits of diversity are considered, appreciated and highlighted
2. Value - anchorage and quide for acting
Own and shared values are synchronized
3. Innovation - the necessity of new business models
The main components of modern business models are identified and consolidated
4. Excellence – characteristic of professionalism
Individual and integration process excellences are generated

Dr. Mladen Meter is a consultant and the director of Business Effectiveness Ltd., a company specializing in business advisory services. He has extensive experience in senior leadership positions within international companies (Kaufland, Generali, Basler) and currently works independently as well as with renowned international partners on numerous projects in Croatia and abroad. He earned his Master’s degree in 2005 at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb, completed the Controlling Stufenprogramm at the Austrian Controller Institute in Vienna in 2006, passed the exam for Certified Financial Controller, and received his PhD in 2012 at the Faculty of Economics in Split. He has also completed executive education at Harvard Business School, IEDC Bled School of Management, and the Horváth Akademie in Germany. He is an internationally certified HICHERT® IBCS consultant and trainer, as well as a certified consulting partner for IBCS-certified IT solutions for professional business reporting and presentations according to HICHERT®IBCS standards. He prepared the international controlling standards for Croatia and was the only contributor outside the German-speaking area to participate in an international project (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia) focused on identifying and improving controlling standards in corporate practice. He is also the only non–German-speaking co-author of the international controlling standards “Standards im Controlling” and the books: “Organisation des Controllings” and the “Guideline for Implementing Controlling” (German edition). He is the author of numerous certified educational programs in controlling, finance, and management, as well as the editor of the business practice journal “Controlling, Finance and Management” and the books: “Latest Trends in Controlling”, “Controlling Instruments”, and “Management and Controlling”. He leads the ICV Croatian Adriatic Region working group within the International Controller Association (ICV), which focuses on enhancing business excellence across industries. He is a certified internal auditor for banks, financial institutions, and IT systems, and a certified consultant within the HAMAG-BICRO Network for business planning, finance, organizational design, and management. Additionally, he is a local consultant for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). He holds the international LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitator certificate, applying the method to professionally address concrete business challenges in a structured, engaging, and inclusive way. He is also a Certified OKR Practitioner (C‑OKRP)™ by OKR International, the global leader in OKR implementation and coaching. For many years, he has taught as a senior lecturer at an AACSB-accredited business school and currently teaches at several universities and business schools, including many business schools in Germany, as well as on numerous open and in-house programs in Croatia and abroad.
