Use Cases, Prompt Engineering, and Reporting Practice

Predavač: Dr. Mike Schulze

This practice-oriented workshop enables controlling and finance professionals to understand and apply generative AI (exemplified through ChatGPT) across core finance activities, from use-case identification to prompt engineering and management reporting. Participants will learn how large language models can augment analysis and communication tasks, where their limitations require controls, and how to operationalize AI-supported workflows for report creation and commentary with a robust quality-assurance loop. This workshop is intended for consultants, controllers, finance business partners, management reporting professionals, and finance managers and analysts working with planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance management.

  • Become familiar with AI use cases in controlling and finance
  • Understand a practical evaluation framework (assessment matrix) to judge use cases along relevant dimensions
  • Develop prompting fundamentals to reliably steer AI outputs
  • Apply AI in a hands-on reporting exercise to create and comment on management reports with a structured narrative logic and verification steps
